This week EU allowed import of 190,000 t of corn. Up to now, totally imported in EU is 6.8 million tonnes if corn, compared to same period last year when imports were at 3 million tons. Mostly reason is quality issue in EU corn which caused many buyers to look elsewhere for corn instead European sources.

According to info, EU released 150,000 tons of sugar quota surplus for sale on the free market. Levy was reduced from 500 Eur/t to 224 Eur/t. Currently price of EU sugar is in level 730-740 Eur/t.
