This years corn crop in Serbia is expected to reach 5.7 million tons but still not fully completed.

EU monitoring unit left corn crop forecas unchanged from last month. In a monthly report estimated average yield in this year's EU grain corn harvest at 6.88 t/hectare. This was 13.7 percent more from last year's drought-affected yield.

Corn harvest started in Serbia and yield is approx. 5 t/h as per first information in some regions. This is little less then expected.

Corn represents very significant commodity for Serbia and its one of the main export generators for Serbia. Serbia is one of top 10 corn exporters in the world. It is widely expected corn crop 2013 to be of very good quality, aflatoxin per EU norms, and to maintain export potential.
