In 2014 Romania will have wheat crop at record 7.4 million tonnes and rapeseed crop of 1.1 million tonnes. It expects also big maize and sunflower harvests.
EU consisting of 28-member states is expected to have harvest 140 million tonnes of soft wheat. This is almost 5% more than last year. Mostly better yield will have Germany, France, Romania, Hungary, and some others, but lower is expecteed in Spain, Italy, Greece and Croatia.
Price of Russian wheat dropped last week due to harvesting in progress. Lot of rains previously slowed harvesting and caused concerns.
